This was announced this morning by the general director of the Spanish division of the chemical multinational, Carles Navarro, who has detailed that this new center will have a double headquarters, in Tarragona and Madrid.

Basf closed the 2022 financial year with a turnover of 1,562 million euros in Spain, 16% more than in 2021 (1,350 million), according to what Navarro explained at the press conference. This increase is due to a significant increase in prices (19%), while volumes decreased by 2%, the senior executive explained.

The multinational plans to invest 43 million euros in Spain in 2023, which will be used to improve facilities and processes. In this sense, the car paint factory in Marchamalo (Guadalajara) will inaugurate the new Application Center for the automotive industry during the second semester, with a budgeted investment of 16 million euros.
