Another Russian manager from the energy sector has died under mysterious circumstances: According to Russian media reports, Ivan Peshorin, managing director of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (ERDC), fell off a private yacht at full speed on Saturday Russky Island near Vladivostok. Accordingly, the 39-year-old stayed with friends on the boat. His body was recovered from the Sea of ​​Japan on Monday. A few days before his death, Peshorin took part in the Eastern Economic Forum organized by President Vladimir Putin in Vladivostok. Peshorin also gave a speech at the conference.

"Ivan's death is an irreparable loss to friends and colleagues, a great loss to the company," ERDC said in a statement released. According to the Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda, Peshorin was responsible for developing mineral resources in the Arctic and modernizing the aviation industry in the Far East. Peschorin's predecessor at ERDC, Igor Nosow, died in February at the age of 43. The official cause of death is a stroke.
