Felipe VI Chamber of Commerce values entrepreneurs: "If there are companies, there is work and there is employment"

Felipe VI has vindicated the role of businessmen - "those people who get up every day to work in their respective organizations" - as people who "generate employment and wealth for our country". The King presided over the extraordinary plenary session of the Chamber of Commerce this Wednesday, where he wanted to value the role of businessmen, so attacked by a part of the Government in recent weeks. "If there are companies, there is work and there is employment, there is wealth", the King recalled.

In an act held at the offices of the Chamber of Commerce, and before the Minister of Economy, Nadia Calviño, the King recalled that this body plays a fundamental role with the "institutional defense of the role of the company as a creator of wealth and employment ". Something that is necessary, the Monarch has insisted, "for the well-being of the whole of society."

The King has contextualized the economic moment we are living in, "a period of high generalized inflation, which has led to an upward correction of interest rates and a reduction in consumption and investment". Despite this panorama, Felipe VI has assured that the Spanish export sector "has shown a great capacity for resistance, in fact it helped us overcome the previous crises", something that, according to the King, indicates that this sector "is going to be one of the fundamental engines of the recovery of our economy".

The Monarch wanted to encourage businessmen and entrepreneurs to "continue working in the same line for the good of our society." Because that attitude "is being decisive for the recovery of the Spanish economy."
