Holidays What holidays are there in March 2023: the communities that will have holidays

Once the Carnival is over and with Easter still far away, many wonder when the next holiday will be with which to enjoy a day off.

The holidays for the month of March will depend on the autonomous community and the municipality of the worker since the 2023 work calendar does not include any national holidays for March.

One date stands out above all: March 19, the feast of San José and Father's Day. However, this 2023 falls on a Sunday and only the Community of Madrid moves the holiday to the following Monday, March 20.

In the Valencian Community this festivity coincides with the traditional Fallas. However, the region has not transferred the holiday to the work calendar. It does include it in the school calendar, so that students will not have class on March 15, 16 and 17, 2023, which will be non-school days.

For its part, this Wednesday, March 1, in the Balearic Islands is a holiday as the day of the region is celebrated, which commemorates the date on which the statute of autonomy of the islands was published in the BOE.

While Monday March 6 will be a local holiday in the city of Zaragoza -not in the autonomous community of Aragon.

This is the Cincomarzada festival, which takes place every year on March 5 (when it falls on a Sunday it is moved to Monday) and commemorates the confrontation between the Elizabethan and Carlist Zaragozans that took place on March 5, 1838.

For the arrival of the next holiday in all of Spain, we will have to wait for the month of April. Specifically, it will be on April 7, Good Friday, when the next national holiday arrives.
