Luxurious and quickly available: Hannes-Camper becomes a mobile home manufacturer

The Lower Saxony-based mobile home rental company Hannes-Camper is now one of the manufacturers. In cooperation with the Slovenian panel van specialist Robeta, two fully equipped compact vehicles have been created. They should be available from January.

With the idea of creating his own camper van with a living area like in a boutique hotel, landlord Hannes-Camper is expanding the business area and will have his first appearance as a manufacturer at the CMT leisure fair in Stuttgart in January. The focus is on the premiere of two camper vans based on a Citroën Jumper. Conception, design and prototypes were created in cooperation with the partner company Robeta in Slovenia, where series production also takes place.

The Lower Saxony promise a "premium expansion with a feel-good atmosphere, modern style, high-quality equipment and all-in concept". From January 2023, the vehicles will be available and can be delivered immediately, which is worth more in the industry, which is still plagued by delivery problems, than any discounts and bargain offers.

You can choose between the compact "Hannes" with a total length of six meters and a transverse bed in the rear, and the somewhat more spacious "Big Hannes", which has two longitudinal beds installed from bumper to bumper in the rear with a measurement of 6.40 meters. So far, so normal - which incidentally also applies to the layout with the front seating area including swiveling front armchairs, side kitchen and shower/toilet room.

Only with the all-inclusive equipment package, which according to the company should give customers a price advantage of over 15,000 euros, does the Hannes camper stand out from most of its competitors.

Diesel parking heater, reversing camera, frame windows, water pressure pump, awning, navigation infotainment with multimedia technology, USB sockets throughout the body, aluminum rims, outdoor shower and much more, which is usually found in surcharge lists, are already on board as standard. Only four extras - a solar system, a 230-volt inverter, a satellite TV system and the pop-up roof - can be ordered as an option.

A dimmable lighting concept, elegant, matt black Grohe household fittings in the kitchen, a real glass washbasin in the bathroom as well as high-quality textiles and lightweight furniture ensure a feel-good climate in the living room.

The short "Hannes" is available from 75,900 euros, the "Big Hannes" costs 3000 euros more. Both models are offered exclusively with the most powerful version of the 2.2-liter Blue HDI engine and 165 hp. The plan is to produce several hundred camper vans in the coming year, 50 percent of which will go into Hannes Camper's rental fleet.
