Navigo Pass: an additional week to process reimbursement

The regional transport authority Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) decided on Thursday to extend by one week the opening of its compensation platform for holders of a Navigo pass who suffered failures in the RATP network at the end of 2022, including the closure was originally scheduled for Friday. The platform will therefore close on April 21 and not on April 14 as initially planned.

This exceptional compensation, for a total amount of 60 million euros, will compensate up to half a month's subscription to holders of a Navigo pass who have purchased three monthly passes over the last four months of the year. 2022, from September to last December.

As a reminder, 25% of the planned buses did not circulate on the RATP surface network during the last four months of the year, as well as 10 to 20% of the metros. Some users of RER B (four sections) and D (one section) will benefit from additional compensation, for 7 million euros, due to a regularity of less than 80% on their axis for several months.

“We sent an email to the entire Navigo base in anticipation of the platform closing and, after this email, we realized that there were still requests coming in. So we preferred to leave one more week," a spokeswoman for IDFM told Agence France-Presse.

Since the opening of the compensation procedure, 1.4 million people have already been reimbursed, said IDFM. As soon as it opened, the platform had been stormed by users, the large number of simultaneous connections causing access difficulties.
