The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will revert the Trans Law that allows changing sex in the registry from the age of 16 and will also reverse the changes introduced in the law of terms so that minors can abort without the need for permission parental.

The main opposition party voted this Thursday against both legislative projects, approved in the Congress of Deputies, and will seek to modify them if Feijóo manages to reach Moncloa after the next general elections, according to PP sources.

Regarding the Trans Law, which has generated debate within the PSOE and feminism, sources from the national leadership of the PP stress that with Feijóo there will be a trans law but "not this one", which, they say, remains valid what to Pedro Sánchez as president of the Government.

The PP rejects the trans law considering that it can generate harmful consequences, especially in minors, denounces that it can be a "new yes is yes" and stresses that there are countries reversing this type of regulations that recognize gender self-determination.

In the case of the abortion law, Feijóo has supported the law of terms that his party appealed before the Constitutional Court (TC), and has recognized that abortion is "exclusively the right that a woman has in accordance with the law of her country". The PP does not share, however, the latest changes introduced in the law.

For this reason, if the leader of the PP governs, he will recover the obligation that minors under 16 and 17 years of age have the consent of their legal representatives to abort -which the Government of Mariano Rajoy introduced in 2015- and the three-day reflection period .

The PP does not share the new registry of conscientious objectors for health personnel either. In addition, PP sources point out that the PP has not yet addressed the debate on whether or not they will appeal the new abortion law before the Constitutional Court, after learning that this guarantee body endorses the 2010 regulations.
