The spokesperson for the Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Nayra Alemán, affirmed this Wednesday, during the Debate on the status of Canarian nationality, regarding the so-called Mediator case that there are only two options until Justice manifests itself: or believe what says the president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, with a "demonstrated commitment" to the islands and a service sheet "without a blemish", or believe a person like Marco Antonio Tacoronte, who has been convicted of proven facts.

The spokesperson for the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Nayra Alemán, stressed that in the face of the "catastrophic alarmism" defended by opposition groups, the Government of the Pact of Flowers has followed a "joint" roadmap of a "strong, solid and cohesive" that has been fulfilling its commitments "to a high degree. "They have put us to the test and we have been able to overcome all obstacles," she added.

In her speech, Nayra Alemán highlighted that the Government chaired by Ángel Víctor Torres and supported by four parties: the Socialist Party, Nueva Canarias, Agrupación Socialista Gomera and Sí Podemos Canarias, has shown that, in addition to shielding public services, it has been able to advance " together and fairly" to be able to affirm that today "the Canary Islands are better than four years ago with data in hand".

Alemán pointed out that the eight axes that the Executive assumed are and will continue to be a priority, such as the fight against poverty, the strengthening of the welfare state, the promotion of gender equality, favoring job creation and economic growth, sustainable development and the fight against climate change, the defense of political regeneration, the modernization of a fair and sufficient fiscal policy, and the relations of the Canary Islands with the rest of the State.

The spokesperson for the Socialist Parliamentary Group maintained that the Pact of Flowers "has worked and works" and assured that the Canary Islands "are on the right track" thanks to the "recipes" that it has put in place "work". Thus, during his speech, he listed one by one all the milestones achieved during the Legislature, compared to other governments that "for a long time" have "accustomed" the public to the fact that the measures promised in the electoral campaign "end in a drawer".
