According to the Turkish media, the former Chelsea and Newcastle player, who played for Málaga in 2016, was 31 years old and was found under the rubble of the Rönesans residence, a 12-storey tower that collapsed in the earthquake. .
Atsu had signed in September for Turkish club Hatayspor, based in the southern province of Hatay, near the epicenter of the powerful earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6.
