Steve Ditko: Co-creator of Spider-Man is dead

Steve Ditko created for Marvel Spider-Man, later he also drew Squirrel girl. Now the US artist died at the age of 90 years.

Steve Ditko: Co-creator of Spider-Man is dead

American artist Steve Ditko died at age of 90 years. The comic artist became a co-creator of Spider-Manbekannt. The superhero had Ditko in early 1960s toger with Stan Lee for publishing house Marvel Comics.

According to New York police, Ditko was already found dead in his apartment on 29 June. The police did not provide any information on cause of death.

Behind Spider-Man is hidden Highschoolschüler Peter Parker, who gains supernatural powers through bite of a mutant spider. He can climb facades, eject nets and use his skills in fight against crime.

Ditko worked on character Doctor Strange, but after a quarrel with Lee he left Marvel Verlag 1966, reported The Hollywood Reporter. He created or characters for DC Comics and or publishers, and later worked for Marvel. In 1990, Super heroine Squirrel Girl, who was drawn by him, made her debut.
