According to media reports, Finance Minister Olaf Scholz (SPD) intensifies conditions for Baukindergeld. This new service should not be granted for large houses and flats, but should be provided with a square metre ceiling, reported Handelsblatt and world. The media refer to a presentation by Federal Ministry for Committee on Budgets.

A family with two children could only receive promotion for real estate with a maximum of 120 square meters of living space, it says in original. There would be ten square meters for each child. In addition to income limit of 90,000 euros, confederation is thus attracting a second upper limit to taxable family income.
