Television Roberto Leal talks about the dark side that Operación Triunfo had for him

Roberto Leal is one of the most popular presenters in Spain. The host of Pasapalabra has been in other formats such as Spain Direct, Operación Triunfo or El Desafío and in a chat with Laura Escanes he wanted to share the dark side of participating in such successful spaces.

In the podcast 'Between the sky and the clouds', the Sevillian has opened up about the pressure of being in the center of the spotlight and the physical consequences it caused him.

Specifically, he has referred to his time at OT (2017-2020). Leal was commenting on the way in which people who work with the audience should take care of her image, when the influencer asked her about her physical change when she started as a presenter of the musical talent.

"It's that there was a real physical change, which was gray hair. I don't know if there is any explanation, but when something strong and powerful happens to you, you get gray hair... I felt that way," he reflected.

"I had brownish hair, a normal and current color. Mahogany, wenge, like the furniture. And suddenly, many gray hairs began to appear due to the pressure I suddenly felt," he analyzed.

Roberto Leal analyzed what that opportunity had meant for his career and made it clear that it had not been easy at times.

"When they give me that opportunity, I wanted everything, but it was also... It was like a focus there and we also received many messages. I learned to relativize. Like, but if that is the one that gives way to the plates of food on that show. How are you going to present this?"

The presenter has also wanted to talk about his current moment in charge of Pasapalabra and how these criticisms from the past helped him to take things in a different way.

"In the end I have managed to be able to live calmly now without having the magnifying glass on me, which is what reassures me the most. It is no longer that people like you better or worse, but to be calm. When you expose yourself at the beginning, everything is that The one who likes you a lot, forever. And the one who doesn't, the good thing is to make him change his mind. And if not, then that's it," he commented.

"I have been lucky that this program went well and today, super happy in Pasapalabra and I don't feel that pressure," he concluded.
