RTVE has revealed the cost for the Corporation of the Soccer World Cup in Qatar. The interim president of the Entity, Elena Sánchez, has sent a written response to the question formulated by the Vox Parliamentary Group in the Congress of Deputies, in which she details the total amount paid by RTVE for the broadcast of the World Cup in Qatar and breaks down the payment to the different technical providers that allowed the retransmission.

The total cost of broadcasting the World Cup in Qatar amounts to 37,600,888 euros, of which 35,973,174.68 euros correspond to external resources and 1,627,713.44 euros are attributable to the use of internal resources of the company itself. Corporation.

Regarding the breakdown of expenses by technical providers, the largest outlay corresponds to the rental of two mobile units from the company Sociedad Europea Unidad.Móviles S.L., which represented an outlay of 725,000 euros.

In another written response also signed by the interim president of RTVE, the Government also answers the Vox Parliamentary Group about the alleged sponsorship of the textile firm El Ganso for the sporting event due to the proliferation of outfits of said brand among the commentators and presenters of the broadcast in Qatar.

RTVE categorically denies that it was a sponsorship or advertising action.
