Nightmare in the kitchen showed in its delivery on Thursday, February 2, how the program team visited the restaurant of the Hotel Juan Manuel, located in Camarzana de Tera (Zamora). Its owner and chef, José Luis Vega, starred in several moments of tension with Alberto Chicote. One of them happened when he decided to leave and stand up the presenter in the first service.
A waiter pointed out that some customers had complained that they had been waiting a long time for their order. On the other hand, the driver of the format was critical of the preparation of some dishes, such as the ajoarriero cod, about which he said: "The mother who gave birth to me, boy."
The owner exploded: "What's wrong? It's not yours, right? It doesn't have to be bad... It's mine, the fucking boss's, the one made in this house, I shit on God. The what I say and what my clients eat". Very angry, he left the kitchen defying Chicote: "Since you are so good, you do things so well and I have no fucking idea about cooking, you stay here, take your hat, the stove and let's see what eggs you have." get out, I'm leaving now!"
The chef blurted out: "Another one who thinks this is a matter of eggs." In addition, he asked him as he was leaving: "Should I put out the fires for you?" José Luis, known as El Chicote de Zamora, replied: "Set the whole kitchen on fire!" The service did not end well and the customers left without finishing eating.
The chef at the Hotel Juan Manuel restaurant had previously shown that it was difficult for him to accept criticism of his creations. Chicote tasted its star dishes and the employees transferred their comments to the owner, who ended up shouting: "But don't touch my eggs! It's a roast, this is not a stew!"
The presenter of A Nightmare in the Kitchen heard his voice and asked the owner's son: "What makes your father so angry?" The young man replied: "He thinks that he does everything well."
