Two campers, one electric study: mobile home manufacturer Bürstner is expanding its compact fleet

Bürstner has long been focusing on compact vehicles. At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, the motorhome manufacturer is now unveiling a number of new products. As there are: two new Renault compact models based on Trafic and Master as well as the all-electric concept study of a large Ford Transit van.

Until three years ago, the mobile home manufacturer Bürstner concentrated mainly on larger-format mobile homes. Although this time the Lyseo Gallery, a seven-meter-long semi-integrated vehicle, is the highlight at the Bürstner stand at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, because its inflatable alcove is still a unique innovation, but the company from Kehl has long since focused on by far most booming compact vehicles.

For the third time in 12 months, the brand is expanding its compact fleet with two more series, building on its previous collaboration with Renault. Not least because in these times of major chassis delivery problems, a wide range of base vehicles improves the situation.

The Delfin model name, which is closely linked to Bürstner's product history, was revived at the beginning of the year with a semi-integrated vehicle based on the Citroën Jumper. The Delfin C621 is now the first camper van based on the Renault Master 2.3 dCI with 135 hp and manual transmission. A more powerful engine variant with 150 hp and an automatic transmission are offered as options.

The 6.22 meter long panel van has two 1.90 meter long single beds in the rear, which can be expanded to form a double bed. The kitchen block has a 69 liter compressor fridge and a two-burner stove. There is a table for the seating group with a two-seater bench and swiveling front armchairs, which can be expanded using a swivel function.

At the start of sales in the new season, the Delfin is to be offered with extensive limited equipment as standard, including 16-inch alloy wheels, sun awning, pleated blinds and a multimedia system with reversing camera. However, Bürstner has not yet given specific prices for the Delfin C621, which is in the middle price segment.

This also applies to the Urban Camper Playa C500 Limited Edition. The camper is designed as a recreational vehicle suitable for everyday use with a standard pop-up roof. A rail system in the floor enables high flexibility in the rear area of the vehicle. The seat can be removed and installed to generate cargo space. The limited edition equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, diesel auxiliary heating, awning, a 50-liter water tank, a 41-liter compressor refrigerator, Isofix attachments on the seat and a multimedia system with navigation.

Based on the model from the car industry, Bürstner offers buyers the opportunity to order a unique camper van or camper van ex works under the "Bürstner Individual" label. This ranges from special foils in various design directions to aluminum rims and radiator grilles as special accessories.

In addition, the brand is presenting the still brand new Lineo C590 in an electric version as a concept vehicle. Based on a fully electric Ford Transit with a 68 kWh battery, a range of up to 317 kilometers should be possible, depending on the series configuration.

With a maximum charging capacity of 115 kW, the battery can be charged from 15 to 80 percent within 35 minutes using the DC quick charger.
