On tips from US security services, investigators search 29 apartments in Baden-Württemberg on suspicion of possession of child pornography. Numerous data carriers are confiscated. A total of more than 30 suspects are identified.
Investigators have carried out a raid against suspected owners of child pornographic material in Baden-Württemberg. A total of 29 apartments were searched in the districts of Reutlingen, Esslingen and Tübingen, according to the Reutlingen police headquarters. More than 70 officers confiscated extensive evidence such as smartphones, tablets, notebooks and other data carriers.
According to the information, the operation was preceded by information from US security authorities and extensive investigations. Three dozen suspects were identified, including three women. They are charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.
The public prosecutors involved obtained judicial search warrants for the suspects between the ages of 16 and 62. According to the investigations so far, however, there is no connection between them. The criminal police investigations, in particular into possible other suspects or the distribution of the prohibited content, continued.
