As the main actress, she's working on a series based on the novel "The Other Typist" at the streaming service Hulu, as the industry leaves "Variety" and "Hollywood Reporter" reported on Thursday. The 35-Year-old will produce the series.

The 2016 under the German title of "The woman at the typewriter" published novel by US author Suzanne Rindell plays in New York in the 1920s. The focus is on the shy Rose, a typist in a police precinct, whose life is provided by the new, high-spirited colleague, Odalie (Knightley) on the head. The Thriller against the Backdrop of Prohibition, is full of surprising twists and turns.

With producer Ilene Chaiken (\"Empire", "The L Word: Generation of Q\") writes the screenplay. Chaiken worked for Hulu already served as an Executive producer on the gritty Hit series "The Handmaid's Tale - The Report of the maid".

Knightley, who was last with The "lack of choice - The beginning of a Revolution" and the political drama "Official Secrets" in the cinema, most recently in 2011, a television role in the TV two-parter "Neverland". She was previously nominated twice for an Oscar in 2006 as best actress in "Pride and prejudice" and 2015 as best actress in a supporting role in "The Imitation Game - A top secret life".
