As the "Stern" reports, Abdallah Abou-Chaker was arrested on Thursday night in Berlin-Charlottenburg and flown to Beirut under the strictest security precautions. According to the "Bild" newspaper, the access took place at 12:15 a.m. in front of a gaming café. Accordingly, the police attacked when Abou-Chaker went to the door. Several civilian vehicles are said to have pulled up from all sides and heavily armed police officers got out. They overpowered the 40-year-old, dragged him into a car and sped away. "After 40 seconds it was all over and the cars were gone again," the newspaper quoted a witness as saying. A few hours later, Abou-Chaker is said to have arrived in Lebanon.
Abdallah Abou-Chaker spent a total of ten years in prison in Germany for, among other things, drug trafficking, assault, pimping and extortion. He was most recently in custody at the beginning of the year on allegations of rape and suspected forced prostitution, but was soon released. The 40-year-old has repeatedly presented himself with expensive cars, luxury watches and gold jewelry on Instagram.
For years, the German authorities tried in vain to deport Abou-Chaker. Although prosecutors were sure that he came from Lebanon, his nationality was officially considered "unresolved" for a long time, so Lebanon refused to accept him. "Abdallah is a stateless Palestinian and had just received a two-year suspension of deportation. We don't understand that," the Abou-Chaker circle expressed in the "Bild" newspaper incomprehension about the deportation.
The police confirmed the arrest on Friday. "Last night, an obligation to leave the country was enforced on Windscheidstrasse in Charlottenburg," writes the newspaper. According to "Stern" information, insiders assume that two of Abdallah Abou-Chaker's younger brothers could now be deported to Lebanon. The two were sentenced to four years and ten months in prison on November 15, 2021 by the Berlin Regional Court for fraud.
