Tuesday

According to the ntv weather team, it will remain quite friendly in large parts on Tuesday - the sun will shine, especially in a wide strip from the north-west to the south-east. Clouds will gather in the north-east and isolated light snow showers will fall. Showers are moving from the North Sea to the north of Schleswig-Holstein, but mostly as rain near the North Sea. Permafrost is more widespread with a maximum of minus 5 to 0 degrees, on the Lower Rhine and in the Ruhr area as well as on the North Frisian Islands up to 2 degrees. A fresh south-west to south-east wind ensures cool temperatures on the coasts.

Precipitation turning to rain in the south means there is a risk of black ice on the cold ground! The maximum values are minus 3 degrees and in southern Western Pomerania up to 5 degrees on the southern Upper Rhine.

Thursday

There is also a risk of ice on Thursday: Freezing rain is possible in the south-west in particular, and snowfall in the south-central centre. Only the southeast will remain dry. Showers are possible on the North Sea coast up to the northern half of Schleswig-Holstein. The maximum values are around minus 2 degrees in Lusatia and 6 degrees at Lake Constance.

Friday

In the south, as well as on the Baltic Sea and in the Eifel, it is snowing heavily. In the north-west, only mild snowfall and longer sunny periods await us. The maximum values are around minus 3 degrees in Görlitz and up to 4 degrees on the East Frisian Islands.

weekend

Staying at home is the order of the day at the weekend: Because in the eastern low mountain ranges, severe frost is gathering with temperatures below minus ten degrees. In the night to Sunday it can even get cold down to minus 20 degrees locally in the south and south-east.

Next week

Winter is also going into overtime in the new week, as weather expert Björn Alexander reveals. First with regional snow and ice, before it becomes more stable and then more varied again. In the middle of the week, the weather computers let a low move to Germany, which could have plenty of snow in its luggage.

Many of us are also concerned with the question of the White Christmas. But it can be answered at the end of the week at the earliest. Because there are signs of an exciting development and a possible course setting by Christmas.
