A lot of money is still waiting to be picked up in Saxony-Anhalt: A lottery player becomes a millionaire in a special Santa Claus draw in 2019. But since no one has claimed the win since then, time is running out.

Lotto-Toto Sachsen-Anhalt is looking for the winner of one million euros who has not claimed the money since the end of 2019. He has until the end of this year to report, otherwise the money will flow into the next nationwide special draw, said Lotto Managing Director Stefan Ebert. It would be the first time in the history of Lotto Sachsen-Anhalt that a prize of this amount would not be collected.

The player handed in the ticket for two Lotto 6aus49 draws on November 28, 2019 at a point of sale in the Mansfeld-Hettstedt area. When the winning numbers were drawn two days later, the person they were looking for landed a two with a super number, and a week later a three. With the receipt, the player picked up a prize of 17.30 euros at a point of sale on December 7th. In the following special Nikolaus draw on December 9, 2019, the person then became a millionaire – but has not yet reported.

Lottery winners generally have three years to register. According to the company, prizes totaling around 2.7 million euros are still open from 2019, 2020 and 2021 - this includes the million. Managing Director Ebert said that all lottery players should always have their lottery ticket receipts checked at a lottery sales outlet or check them themselves using the appropriate app. If you play with a customer card, your winnings will be sent directly to your account and you will receive a written notification if you win more than 1000 euros. So far, according to the information, around 27,000 have such a customer card.
