After more than a week, a missing eight-year-old was found alive in Oldenburg. "8-year-old Joe is alive," wrote the Oldenburg police on Twitter. The boy was found in a gully "externally unharmed". He is currently being treated in a hospital. According to a police spokesman, the site is about 300 meters from the boy's place of residence, reports the "Bild" newspaper.
"A walker heard noises under a manhole cover on Kranichstrasse in Oldenburg at 6:22 a.m. and immediately alerted the police, fire brigade and rescue services," the police said on Saturday. How the eight-year-old got into the sewer will now be the subject of further police investigations.
