The Negreira Case is the name of the alleged corruption plot investigated by the Tax Agency, according to which José María Enríquez Negreira, former soccer referee and vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees between 1994 and 2018, would have received payments of millions of euros from Soccer Club Barcelona while he was in office, supposedly to favor this team with arbitration decisions in their sporting matches.
