What consequences can a decision made at a critical moment in their past have on someone's life? What unusual force can the desire for revenge acquire in a person who has seen her dreams cut short by the actions of others? The plots of Mía es la venganza revolve around these plot lines, the new daily fiction from Mediaset starring Lydia Bosch that is being filmed in Madrid.

The series, produced in collaboration with Alea Media, is framed in the melodrama genre and deals with the story of Sonia Hidalgo, a fighting woman persecuted by a terrible tragedy from the past played by Lydia Bosch.

Natalia Rodríguez in the role of Olivia, Sonia's daughter; and José Sospedra as Mario, a young man in search of revenge, complete the trio of main characters in this story of impossible love, revenge and unspeakable secrets.

The role of Sonia Hidalgo in her youth is played by Begoña Maestre, who once again coincides with Lydia Bosch after the legendary Telecinco fiction Motivos Personales. The cast of the series is completed by Ibrahim Al Shami J. as Fernando, the protagonist's youngest son; Claudio de la Torre, Armando del Río, Elena Furiase, María Ramos, Miguel Brocca and Gonzalo Kindelán giving life to Orson, Alejandro, Lucía, Abir, Diego and Lorenzo, employees of Sonia's select sports club; Fanny Gautier as a member of the club and Eve Ryan, her daughter; José Ángel Trigo as Bosco, Olivia's boyfriend; David Muro as Montes, an ex-policeman who works for Sonia; and Fátima Baeza and Mariam Hernández, friends of Sonia and Orson, respectively.

Mía es la venganza updates the genre by delving into contemporary themes, such as the empowerment of women and diversity, through plots that maintain elements typical of daily series, such as impossible love, a disturbing past, passion, addictive mysteries and a unstoppable revenge; a wide range of characters that cover the different layers of society, both in the spectrum of ages and social stratum, from the powerful and elegant Sonia Hidalgo and her highly prepared daughter Olivia, to the mysterious maintenance manager (Mario), or the peculiar ex-policeman that he jumps the barriers of the topics (Montes); and, finally, an attractive staging provided by its natural decorations in the setting of an exclusive sports club.

The series begins when a car plunges into a lake and begins to sink into the water. Inside the vehicle are Sonia and two little girls who are traveling in the back seat oblivious to the fate that awaits them. Time is running out and the desperate woman tries to free the girls, until she discovers that she barely has time to save them both. One of them manages to get to the surface with Sonia, while the other, trapped in the car, helplessly awaits her death.

Two decades after the terrible event, Sonia is the influential and powerful owner of the exclusive sports club 'Los Olivos' and the girl she saved, Olivia, the daughter who, despite her attempts, never manages to meet her mother's expectations.

Neither has been able to forget that tragic afternoon and both are unaware that the past is coming back to destroy them: Mario, a tormented young man whose unfortunate accident ruined his life and cut short his dreams as a child, is willing to carry out a studied revenge plan to make people suffer. Sonia and Olivia as much as they made him suffer. However, feelings will get in the way of him, leading him to face a great dilemma: choose love or take his particular reckoning to the end.
