The East Peoria City Government's Facebook page warned residents that the July 4 display at Kellehers will be difficult to view from the East Peoria Riverfront and other areas. There will not be any concessions or porta potties along the East Peoria Riverfront Park.

Private fireworks displays in Peoria will last approximately 20 minutes and are a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria. It will also be shorter than the UnityPoint Health Red White and Boom event that was postponed.

Public fireworks displays will be held Saturday in Spring Bay, and Sunday in Chillicothe and Morton. The Bob Michel Bridge will close to traffic on Sunday, September 10, due to the Peoria private display. Alternative routes will be available for motorists.
