A SOMERSET couple met at Glastonbury Festival and became engaged under the Pyramid Stage. They were one of many fans who coped with the second year without the festival by recreating it in their own homes.

Over the weekend, fans took to social media and shared their "Glasthomebury” decorations. Unfortunately, coronavirus had already halted the event for the second year.

They included festival fans Felicity Cooney from South Somerset and Freddy Bevan from South Somerset. They met at the festival, and even traveled to get engaged beneath the famous pyramid.

Ms. Cooney stated to the PA news agency that her wedding was scheduled for May next year. She said, "I'm sure you can guess that it will be Glastonbury-themed."

"We were trying to figure out how we could integrate our Pyramid Stage into the reception.

"We all live near Glastonbury and are Glastonbury veterans. Since I was a child, I have been going to Glastonbury since then. We couldn't bear the idea of missing the weekend because Covid had cancelled it. I'd be remiss if I didn't watch some of the music on the Pyramid Stage.

Ms. Cooney stated that her brother-in law had built a replica of the famous mainstage in their backyard.

She said, "We tried to recreate Glastonbury's experience by spending the whole weekend outside watching our favourite footage come down on our Pyramid Stage."

"Our dream is to return to Worthy Farm next spring to celebrate our honeymoon.
