The weather week in a quick check: Golden October brings summer heat

With showers and thunderstorms, October gets off to an uncomfortable start. In the middle of the week Indian summer is knocking on the door again and temperatures are up to 24 degrees. It could be a bit more changeable at the weekend, reveals weather expert Björn Alexander.

The new week begins with the day of unity, although partly still mixed and windy. Nevertheless, the signs are pointing in the direction of Indian summer. Responsible for this is initially high "Timeo", which will soon take over the weather direction. With that, even a gush of summer air is temporarily dropping in on us, bringing temperatures of up to 24 degrees in places.

Meanwhile, the weather around the Atlantic is much more turbulent. The British Isles, Iceland and Norway experience stormy low-pressure influence with associated precipitation. Partly heavy rain pours down, for example, in the west of Scotland and in northern England. Meanwhile, the high elevations of the Scandinavian mountains are harvesting a good load of snow.

And what happens on the storm and hurricane front? Fortunately not much at first. Only the remnants of Hurricane "Ian" are currently over the US state of Virginia, but have no major rain or storm potential.

And with that we look at the weather in this country and start with a partly quite wet night. Because before the new high, the rain clouds from the low "Walburga" and low "Xenia" cover us first.

Night to Monday: south Continuous rain

In the south it rains incessantly - including thunderstorms. This increases the risk of flooding. Especially on streams, smaller rivers or on fields and meadows. Most of the rest is mostly dry, but sometimes areas of haze or fog spread with corresponding visibility impairments. In addition, it cools down to 12 to 5 degrees.

Unity Day on Monday: Slowly friendlier

In the northeast and in the very south, the showers will be active for longer. Otherwise the sun is getting better and better - apart from a few cloud fields. The whole thing at partly windy 11 to 18 degrees.

Tuesday and Wednesday: Indian summer with up to 24 degrees

The south in particular gets a lot of sun away from foggy areas. But the rest of the region is also dry and at least partly sunny. In short: The Indian summer says hello. The temperatures reach 15 degrees with a good wind in the north and late summer 24 degrees on the Upper Rhine.

Thursday and Friday: More clouds, but still dry

The sky tends to be cloudier - but there is still no sign of rain. During the northern lights, a brisk to stormy wind will continue to blow at around 16 degrees, while in the south it will be up to 21 degrees.

Weather at the weekend: Only in the north showers

According to the current status, our weather will be more changeable in the north this weekend with a few showers. Otherwise, the weather computers show a progression of the dry, but partly cloudy weather. The temperatures are also quite relaxed at 15 to 21 degrees on Saturday and 14 to 20 degrees on Sunday.
