"Under the strong influence of alcohol": Naked convertible driver crashes into building material

A curious accident occurs in Saarland. A 60-year-old is driving his convertible at excessive speed. "Despite the cool temperatures" he doesn't wear any clothes. After he goes off the road, police and ambulances have to move in.

A naked man caused a car accident in Saarland. As the police announced, the 60-year-old was traveling in a convertible on Tuesday evening. "Despite the cool temperatures, the man was stark naked." He came off the road in a curve at excessive speed. An oncoming road user had to avoid him beforehand.

According to the police report, the man first destroyed a flower pot and a construction fence element with his vehicle and finally crashed into a pallet of building materials. Both airbags then deployed. Police officers and emergency services freed the man from his car and took care of him.

"It is not yet clear why the man was walking naked," the police said. "What is certain is that he was under the influence of alcohol." A breath alcohol test showed a value of 2.08 per thousand. Officers took the man to a hospital for a blood test. His car was badly damaged in the accident. The police are investigating the suspected road traffic hazard.
