A couple apparently takes advantage of a woman's helpless situation in their home country. According to the investigators, they forced the 35-year-old to go shopping and collected hundreds of thousands of euros. Now both have been charged.
The Berlin public prosecutor's office has accused a 28-year-old woman of sexually exploiting a 35-year-old woman. According to the prosecution, the accused and her 31-year-old husband, against whom separate proceedings are being conducted, are said to have forced the victim to do sex work with up to ten clients a day for a year and a half. Because, according to the indictment, the 35-year-old had to do without a condom in the case of corresponding suitors' demands, she became pregnant twice during this time and underwent abortions.
The accused and her husband earned 400,000 euros through the sexual exploitation of the woman. The 28-year-old is therefore accused of human trafficking, forced prostitution and pimping. The Berlin Regional Court still has to decide on the opening of the process. The indictment will now be examined first. According to the public prosecutor's office, the victim suffered from significant family and financial problems in his unspecified home country, which the couple took advantage of.
Originally, it offered to support the woman in taking up sex work in Switzerland. However, when they came to Germany in mid-2019, they exploited them themselves. According to the indictment, the accused and her husband made the 35-year-old dependent on them and took their documents. The meetings with suitors took place in hotels and apartments in Berlin and several other federal states.
