Victim not yet identified: head of a woman's corpse discovered in a Paris park

The severed body of a woman is found in a Paris park. After specialists search the area, more body parts appear, including the head. The site is near a residential building where the body of a girl had already been found.

A day after part of a woman's body was found in a Paris park, investigators discovered more body parts, including a head. According to investigators, the body parts were found during a targeted search in an inaccessible part of the park. The victim has not yet been identified.

The day before, city officials found a plastic bag containing a woman's severed torso in a pile of garden waste. The police immediately cordoned off the park, which is popular with joggers and families. The victim was wearing jeans with a flower motif. There was initially no information about the time of death. The Crime Brigade has launched an investigation.

The site is near a home where the body of a 12-year-old girl was found in a plastic box in October. A 24-year-old Algerian woman has been charged with murder and is being held in custody.

Park Buttes-Chaumont in Paris' 19th arrondissement is used by many families and joggers. It was planned in the 19th century in the style of English landscape gardens on the site of former quarries. Several rocks, a grotto with a waterfall and a lake were artificially created.
