A flight plan change made the day of one employee last Thursday at Lehigh Valley International Airport.
Nicole Kidman, the Australian-born Academy Award-winning megastar, flew into Hangar 7 at the Hanover Township, Lehigh County, facility on her way to the set for "Untouchable" in Lumberville, Bucks County, airport officials said Tuesday.
She had been slated to fly into Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing Township, New Jersey, but fog forced the re-routing, officials said.
Enter Matthew Scherer.
The LVIA customer service employee graciously took on the task of driving Kidman to the set in the airport's Jeep Cherokee courtesy car.
"We have a lot of VIPs who travel through here," said Connie Phillip, director of commercial services at LVIA, downplaying the wow factor a bit.
Scherer got a quick video with Kidman, which the airport posted to Instagram.
Love to see our employees saving the day for our guests! Thanks, Nicole & Matthew [?] #flylvia #nicolekidman
"Untouchable" is set to premiere in 2018 and also stars "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston and comedian Kevin Hart.
Days after her local stop, Kidman was on the red carpet for the Academy Awards in Hollywood, the section of Los Angeles where she also happens to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
