Stein am Rhein, SH

Here there are "old, beautiful half-timbered houses, unique murals, great commercial signs and fine, fine Restaurants in the town and on the shores of the Rhine river and Untersee lake," writes a reader Markus Hübscher. Reader Roland Althaus recommends a visit "because of the film's old town-scenery of the hohenklingen castle and the wonderful location at the Rhine-tire".

Aarberg, BE,

For the reader, Christoph Müller and Stefan Boss, this small historic town is one of the favorites. In the town square of old town houses and a 400-year-old wooden bridge. The area around Aarberg is also well suited for Hiking or Cycling.

Murten, FR

"The town with Lake access is worth seeing! Especially in the summer when the weather is nice," writes a reader Isabelle dirt. The medieval town is situated on the homonymous lake and is surrounded by a ring wall.

Solothurn

A visit to the "most beautiful Baroque city of" recommend to the reader Jean-Claude Arn and Heinz von Gunten. The landmark of the city, the St. Ursen Cathedral, is certainly worth a visit. Of importance is the number eleven in Solothurn; for example, there are eleven fountains, museums, churches and chapels, or a clock that only shows eleven hours.

"is Wil beautifully and also received the official website," writes the reader Karin. With this award, the municipality was awarded for the preservation of historical buildings. In the old town there are many striking buildings, such as the Baron house or the late-Gothic parish Church of St. Nicholas are located.

Zofingen, AG

reader Deborah Hediger and reader Max Morgenthaler count Zofingen, is the largest preserved old town in the Aargau, to your favorites. The city is known for the tomb gardens and the serene place on the mountain, on the the big takes place in Serene Open-Air. In the old town 22 wells, and the landmarks are to be found; the Church of St. Mauritius.

Chur, GR

readers J. of sound writes that "you must have seen the oldest town in Switzerland" necessarily. Over 5000 years ago it was populated. Among the sights in the Bishop's courtyard with the Cathedral or the Church of St. Martin. The car-free old town is the ideal starting point for excursions in the mountains.
