Actress died: "Your Danny, your John": John Travolta mourns his "Grease" love Olivia Newton-John

Only a short time after the death of singer and actress Olivia Newton-John was announced, John Travolta (68) said goodbye via Instagram. Captioning a photo of his Grease co-star, Travolta wrote: "Olivia dear, you have made all of our lives so much better. Your impact has been incredible! I love you so much. We will see you at the end of the road See you again and we will all be reunited. From the moment I saw you and forever - your Danny, your John!"

With his touching parting words, Travolta alludes to his role as Danny Zuko in 1978's "Grease." The rebel falls madly in love with the shy girl Sandy Olsson, played by Newton-John, at first sight. At the happy end of the cult film, they fly skyward together in their convertible.

Newton-John's family previously shared via the star's official Facebook account: "Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully this morning at her Southern California ranch surrounded by family and friends." It goes on to say that the actress "was a symbol of triumph and hope for over 30 years by sharing her life journey with breast cancer." The statement does not indicate whether the disease was also the cause of death.
