Gwendoline Christie (43) has once again proven her knack for extravagant fashion: at the world premiere of the Netflix series "Sandman" in London, she walked the red carpet in a futuristic robe studded with silver sequins. The oversized left sleeve, which reached from the shoulder to the knee, was particularly eye-catching.

Fashion designer Rick Owens (59) combined the glamorous top with a floor-length denim skirt in an ombré look. The silver color at the hip faded into a denim blue to the hem. Christie wore gray high heels with her spectacular outfit. She had pulled back the front part of her hair and styled the rest of her blonde mane in glamorous curls. In order not to distract from the dramatic dress, she kept her makeup subtle, only accentuating the eyes and lips.

Christie also showcased her look on Instagram. She wrote that it was "wonderful" to celebrate the premiere with the "glorious cast and crew." She also sent a "big thank you" to Rick Owens for her "beloved" outfit, his "love and genius".

The actress plays the lead role of Lucifer, ruler of hell, in "Sandman." The series is based on the experimental comic series by Neil Gaiman (61), which was considered unfilmable. However, Netflix has ventured. The British author is on board as showrunner.

"Sandman" tells the story of the dream king Morpheus (Tom Sturridge, 36). He is captured by a magician in 1916 but frees himself in 2021. He sets out to reclaim his kingdom. The ten episodes will be available on Netflix from August 5th.
