Meteorite strikes South Africa

Was it a shooting star? Was it a falling aeroplane? These are a few of the questions that people had in their minds on Saturday night. Why such questions, well this was because of the meteorite struck that happened in the North West Province of South Africa on 2 June 2018.

Did it really happen?

CCTV footage showed a huge flash glowing into the night sky. The flash increased in size before violently crashing to the ground. The second footage from farm Uitkyk, Vanzylsrus showed another angle of the shining object hitting the ground at tremendous speed. However, both the sets of footage did not really show what was in the sky, other than a glowing flash.

The footages sneaked their way onto social media and it caused a lot of ruckus on what really transpired. Physicist T. Marshall Eubanks however verified and confirmed that there was indeed an extra-terrestrial guest on earth. This guest, the Physicist said, had landed on the South African-Botswana boarder. However, for South Africans, the temptation was not enough, instead, real money casinos in Canada, South Africa and Australia offered a more realistic chance for a huge payday.

T. Marshall Eubank wrote on his Twitter account that ‘’A small (few meter wide) asteroid was discovered today (2 June 2018) and given a temporary label - ZLAF9B2 – just a few hours ago before it slammed into the atmosphere over Botswana. There are reports of a meteor trail from the ground, so this is a rare case of a discovery before an impact”.

Soon after T. Marshall’s twitter post, the debate was immediately halted as people had the full knowledge of what took place. As the hype over the internet slowly died down a lot of people turned their attention to aussie online pokies or real money online casino games.

People in the Southern African country did not rush in numbers to the crash site. Only true enthusiasts of all things extra-terrestrial visited the area where the rock from space landed. There are many elements on these rocks and some of them, even small pieces can be worth little fortune.
