Taylor Swift: Your spokesman comments on private jet criticism

Taylor Swift (32) has been heavily criticized for using her private jet. According to a study by the British marketing agency Yard, she is said to undertake the most air travel of all celebrities and thus also leave the largest CO2 footprint. A spokesman for the singer now defends himself against the allegations in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight": "Taylor's jet is regularly loaned out to other people. Attributing most or all of these trips to her is simply wrong."

According to the study, Taylor Swift has taken off her plane 170 times in the past seven months. Their average flight time was 80 minutes, with the shortest journey reportedly taking just 36 minutes. In total, the singer's private jet emitted 8,293 tons of CO2.

The Twitter account CelebJets publicly pilloried the prominent environmental sinners and sparked heated discussions with its tweets. Regarding emissions from Taylor Swift's flight from Albany to Nashville, one user wrote: "Way too much! Absolutely appalling! Considering her plane has been doing a lot of short-haul flights in the last few weeks. In this case, something really needs to be done to help the environment will."

Another user agrees: "Stop destroying the environment Taylor. It's horrible whether you're on the plane or not." "Oh wow, the world and the ozone layer will never come together again at this rate," fears another user.

In addition to Taylor Swift's flight logs, the study also lists those of rapper Jay-Z (52), director Steven Spielberg (75) and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian (41).
