"Who wants to be a millionaire?": Were three million euros earned?

On three consecutive evenings since last Monday, candidates have been fighting for entry into the final of the "3 million euro week" on the RTL quiz show "Who wants to be a millionaire?" (also on RTL). On Thursday night, the best lined up for possibly the biggest win in the show's history. In the spring, presenter Günther Jauch (66) invited to the special week, but nobody took the main prize home.

Nine candidates had earned the required 16,000 euros or more in previous broadcasts this time. They were able to give up their winnings from the preliminary round in the final round and negotiate with Jauch about their stake for the game for three million.

Patent attorney Christoph Klöckner had actually earned 64,000 euros, but dared to sit on the chair again with an additional public joker and a stake of 15,000 euros. In the end he was able to start his journey home with 115,000 euros. Lukas Körber, IT specialist from Mülheim an der Ruhr, put his 125,000 euros at risk and negotiated 50,000 euros plus an additional joker with Jauch.

In the end, he had 150,000 euros in his winnings account. Daniela Rive gave up her winnings of EUR 64,000 and went into the game with EUR 17,000 and an additional joker. A football question made her hesitate in the end, so she said goodbye with 117,000 euros. This time, too, the record sum went to none of the candidates.
