DALLAS , -- Police say a woman was arrested for punching Southwest Airlines employee in the head while boarding for a flight from Dallas.

According to Dallas police, Arielle Jean Jackson (32), was taken into custody Saturday afternoon at Love Field. Jackson was charged with Aggravated Assault, according to police.

According to a spokesperson for Southwest Airlines, Chris Mainz, the incident occurred during the boarding process of a flight from Dallas-New York's La Guardia Airport.

According to police, Jackson had an altercation with an operation agent at the back of plane. She was then asked to leave. Police said that Jackson had a verbal altercation at the back of the plane with an operations agent and was asked to leave. Jackson then struck the agent on the head with her closed fist.

Mainz stated that the female operations agent was taken to the hospital and released on Saturday night.

Jackson was held in Dallas County Jail on Sunday under $10,000 bail. Jackson was in Dallas County jail on Sunday with a $10,000 bond. Jail records didn't list her attorney.
