HINCKLEY --- Criminal damaging, Hinckley Hills Road: A resident admitted to cutting the cable line to a newly built house Feb. 17. The owner of the new home reported finding the line cut and disconnected from the utility box at 10:40 a.m. that day, when he realized he had no service. The victim told police he suspected a neighbor, on whose property the utility box sits. The neighbor admitted to cutting the line and said he does not feel his neighbor, nor the cable company has the right to connect to the box, which he paid to have installed 20 years ago. Police advised the man not to cut the cable again and to contact his attorney.

Drunken driver, W. 130th Street: Police pulled over a driver at 1:25 a.m. Feb. 19 for traveling 50 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone. The driver admitted to drinking earlier and had a cup filled with alcohol in the center console of the car. He failed field sobriety tests and a blood-alcohol breath test and was cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
