Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Guyana, and Suriname had signed in September in the Colombian city of Leticia, a Treaty to take, in view of the devastating forest fires in the Amazon region, a common policy of environmental protection and sustainable development of the Region.
