Israel: police arrest government opponent

The Israeli police acted on the night of Friday in Jerusalem to use force against participants of a Demonstration against the head of government Benjamin Netanyahu. After the media had gathered on Thursday evening, several thousand people came to the rally to demand the resignation of Netanyahu's reports. In the course of the Evening, a formed counter-demonstration, as supporters of the government gathered. The police separated the two camps, urged the participants of both sides but, the non-authorized rally to dissolve.

As the protesters, the officials shortly after midnight, the use of pepper spray and water cannon forcibly. According to a report in the Jerusalem Post were taken at least 50 people on a provisional basis.

In Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in the past few days, multiple demonstrations against Netanyahu. The manifestations accompany the corruption trial against the head of government. Most recently, Netanyahu was also criticized for his handling of the Corona-crisis. Held him, among other things, premature loosening, and a lack of preparation on a second Corona-shaft.
