In the town halls of Lyon, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Poitiers, Grenoble, Besancon, and probably Marseille green mayor of a drag. In Paris, the socialist mayor Anne Hidalgo has secured with the promise of a radical shift in Traffic a second term. The desire to be more Green is the most striking result of the unusual runoff round of local elections in France, which had been postponed due to the Corona pandemic for more than three months.

The "green wave" in the larger cities is only one facet of the desperate search by the French for political renewal. The results of the election from forms, especially the disappointment about President Emmanuel Macrons government party "La République en marche" (LREM).
