The former Brandenburg AfD country Director Andreas Kalbitz leaves his post as a Faction leader in the Parliament for the time being, to rest. First, a first legal clarification should be awaited by the country court of Berlin, said Kalbitz on Tuesday after a nearly four-hour special session in the Parliament. The group accepted his offer unanimously. At the meeting of the Bundestag faction leader Alexander Gauland took part, was against Kalbitz’ expulsion from the party.

Kalbitz was one of the leaders of the officially disbanded "wing" of the Thuringian AfD country - and the group chairmen Björn Höcke.
