The former Brandenburg AfD country Director Andreas Kalbitz leaves his post as a Faction leader in the Parliament for the time being, to rest. First, a first legal clarification should be awaited by the country court of Berlin, said Kalbitz on Tuesday after a nearly four-hour special session in the Parliament. The group accepted his offer unanimously. At the meeting of the Bundestag faction leader Alexander Gauland took part, was against Kalbitz’ expulsion from the party.
Kalbitz, announced further legal action against the decision of the Federal arbitration court of the AfD approach. This was confirmed at the end of July by the Federal Board in may approved cancellation of its membership in the main proceedings.

The Brandenburg AfD-state Association is considered to be particularly right standing and is observed by the national office for the protection of the Constitution as a suspected case for right-wing extremism. Kalbitz was one of the leaders of the officially disbanded "wing" of the Thuringian AfD country - and the group chairmen Björn Höcke. The Federal office for the protection of the Constitution classifies the flow as a "secured right-wing extremist aspirations" and Höcke, and Kalbitz as a "right-wing extremist leaders".
