The NCAA Board of Governors approved a uniform interim policy that suspends NCAA name, image, and likeness rules. It became effective today, July 1. Students-athletes now have the opportunity to benefit financially from their image, name and likeness. This is in addition to any eligibility consequences that may be imposed by institutional or state guidelines. MSU Athletics will educate and offer resources to help Bobcat student-athletes through this initiative. We are currently finalizing our NIL policy, and creating platforms to help with education and marketing. Our philosophy is to create champions in competition, life, and education. We have a team of coaches and staff who are ready to carry that message forward.
