"I wear a cap because I'm sick," he said when he was Pascal Praud's guest, without specifying the nature of this illness but adding: "Me, facing my ice cream, the chemo look, I don't want it".
"I don't want people to see that I'm sick, so I'm a little less sick when I have my cap on," continued the nephew of the former President of the Republic François Mitterrand, explaining that he had been fighting his illness "for three months".
"Everyone knows it's a very tough fight. But there's no other solution: it's do or die. They tell me I have a lot of courage but no. If we love life, we continue," he said.
Frédéric Mitterrand paid tribute to personalities who have decided to break the silence around cancer, citing the "tremendous" example of singer Florent Pagny, who was highly publicized and who announced at the end of 2022 that he would return to the stage for a series of festivals this year. .
"I find this boy great. First as an artist, he is someone very remarkable. And I find it great that he says things and that he places his fight as he does", added the former Minister of Culture, who on Thursday published an essay entitled "Brad" (XO editions), where he recounts his passion for American actor Brad Pitt.
