You want to travel to Taiwan with the Human Rights Committee in the fall. Why? In principle, delegation trips are nothing unusual. The country is an important trading partner, and the Strait of Taiwan is one of the main arteries of the economy. Our committee is interested in democratic developments in the region and stability. Nevertheless, we will not omit critical issues here or anywhere else in the world. The Human Rights Committee has long planned this trip to Taiwan.
