Film producer Harvey Weinstein has to take responsibility for rape and sexual misconduct in court. This was decided by a grand jury in New York, confirming indictment of public prosecutor of Friday. The grand jury called evidence sufficient to begin a procedure for rape and forced oral sex. Applicants are two women.

Prosecutor Cyrus Vance said that indictment brought Weinstein "anor step closer to accountability." Weinstein himself had rejected a statement before grand jury. Weinberger's lawyer Benjamin Brafman said New York Times, time empires are not out to prepare his client for a statement. Because of "political pressure", an indictment is inevitable anyway.

Brafman had announced on Friday to proceed against accusation. Mr. Weinstein has always said that he never had non-consensual sex with someone, rape accusation was absurd. The next court date is scheduled for 30 July, but it could be preferred by Derank. Weinstein is currently free against bail and under conditions, he had put himself to police.

The indictment deals with incidents from years 2013 and 2004. U.S. media reported that investigations focused on accusations of former actress Lucia Evans, who told The New Yorker magazine that Weinstein had forced her to sexual acts. In case of alleged rape, Weinstein was accused of a woman who did not speak publicly, it was said from police circles. A conviction threatens producer with up to 25 years ' imprisonment. The investigations against Weinstein have been running for months: more than a hundred women, including numerous stars, have accused Weinstein of having sexual harassment or even rape.
