"I haven't seen him yet, it won't be long" but "he's fine, that's the essential information", she added, asking for respect for his "privacy".

Jean-Marie Le Pen was hospitalized in the Paris region after a "slight heart attack", his adviser Lorrain de Saint Affrique said on Saturday evening. "His loved ones are worried but calm," he added.

The former far-right political leader has been hospitalized several times in recent years. In February 2022, he had been hospitalized following a mild form of stroke.
