It's about rifle ammunition in caliber 5.56 mm and combat ammunition, i.e. live ammunition.
According to a letter from the Federal Ministry of the Interior to the Bundestag's Interior Committee, to which "Spiegel" refers, at least ten illegal firearms were discovered. The number could still increase: Other weapons are currently being forensically examined, the paper says.
In addition to illegal weapons, the 54 suspects from the milieu of "Reich citizens" and "lateral thinkers" had 94 legal weapons. According to the letter from the Ministry of the Interior, it is stored in the National Weapons Register. 63 of those legal firearms belonged to a gun dealer who is among the suspects.
But not only weapons came to light in the searches. The magazine also reports on an organizational chart of a planned new "Reich government" and around 120 documents in which suspected supporters of the group pledge themselves to the strictest secrecy. According to the investigators, those affected even faced the death penalty as a sanction for violations.
