LFI coordinator Manuel Bompard asked the Communists, in a letter, to "clarify" their position at the congress about Fabien Roussel's statements at the start of the week, which "stunned" him. He had judged the left alliance Nupes, formed by the PCF, LFI, PS and EELV, "outdated". He had called for it to be extended to the center-left and in particular to former Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve.
"Those who have something to say, let them join the PCF," quipped Fabien Roussel.
