It started with a text message about the class. He soon changed the topic of conversation and, within a few weeks, Jessie Goline, 25, and her underage pupil, had sex. He wasn't the only one. According to the Arkansas state Police, Goline slept with three other students, aged 18, between January and April 2016. This week she was detained for sexual abuse to the only minor. He could face a penalty of between 6 and 30 years in prison.
Goline, a 25-year-old married woman, was an art teacher at marked Tree High School, a college in Craighead County (Arkansas). One day at the beginning of 2016, the young girl picked up in her car the minor and took her to her apartment, 45 minutes from school. They had sex there. That same night, according to the police, Goline also maintained relationships with another student.
The rumor started to circulate among the students. "Boys like to brag," the prosecutor of the Scott Ellington case explained. According to a preliminary document, the heads of the school did not know the facts until another teacher, months later, heard that some parents wanted to "hurt" a teacher who had slept with many young people.
As some students stated, in the past Goline had sent intimate photos to the students or highlighted their good physical appearance during the class.
While the head of the school opened an investigation, Goline went to his office and confessed his actions. "No, no, no, I'll lose my husband," was the first thing Goline said when he learned that his secret had been leaked. The police arrested her and the prosecutor filed charges for sexual abuse. On October 31st he will appear before a judge to know the verdict.
Although all the information indicates that the relationship he maintained with the minor was consensual, in some states like Arkansas sexual encounters between seniors and minors are illegal.
